THE INGREDIENTS LIST ON THE PROTECTING DAY LOTION STATES THAT IT CONTAINS MORE WATER THAN ALOE VERA, WHY IS THIS?

Protecting Day Lotion contains more water than aloe vera because it functions as a solvent to dissolve many of the ingredients, allowing their benefi ts to be delivered to the skin. Additionally, it forms emulsions with the natural oils to create desired texture.

WHAT ARE THE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS IN PROTECTING DAY LOTION?

Protecting Day Lotion contains two active ingredients: titanium dioxide at 2.6% and zinc oxide at 4.4%.

WHAT DOES SPF 20 MEAN?

SPF stands for 'sun protection factor' which is a relative measure of how long a sunscreen will protect you from ultraviolet (UV) B rays. B rays are the main cause of reddening and sunburn. SPF 20 means that 1/20th of these rays will reach the skin when covered in the cream. It is advisable to reapply this product if you are out in the sun for long periods of time and we do not recommend you use Protecting Day Lotion as a regular sun cream.

HOW DO I OPEN THE PROTECTING DAY LOTION?

When opening the product, pull off the lid and pump the cream. If the lid is twisted off , the pump will also twist off which may aff ect the vacuum. This may cause the product to work ineff ectively.

IS THE PROTECTING DAY LOTION GLUTEN-FREE?

IS TITANIUM DIOXIDE DANGEROUS?

Quality and safety is of the highest priority for Forever, and the production of both product and packaging is done with great care. Sampling of raw material and tests on fi nal products are performed before distribution to ensure they meet our stringent requirements. Our suppliers are expected to carry out equivalent controls. The ingredients used in all of our products are approved and at safe levels according to the applicable legal requirements and recommendations within the EU. Titanium dioxide is used in our Protecting Day Lotion because of its gentleness and ability to provide UV protection. Titanium dioxide does not penetrate through healthy skin nor pose risk to human health from skin exposure.

We do not use harmful, plastic microbeads in our Smoothing Exfoliator. Instead, we use natural jojoba beads and bamboo powder to remove dead skin cells without harming the skin or the environment.

WILL THE ALOE DEEP-CLEANSING EXFOLIATOR STILL BE AVAILABLE?

Once stock has depleted, the Aloe Deep-Cleansing Exfoliator will be discontinued; the Smoothing Exfoliator will replace this product.

IS THIS A NEW FORMULA?

Yes! This Aloe Sunscreen is made using a new sunscreen blend that includes natural, non-nanosized zinc oxide. This powerful sunscreen applies easily, goes on clear and locks in your skin's moisture with the power of pure inner leaf aloe vera from our own plantations. So for example you could take it fi rst thing in the morning and then again late afternoon.

WHY DID THE FORMULA CHANGE?

Due to regulatory changes in the EU in 2016, Forever's previous Aloe Sunscreen formula was removed from sale. We took the opportunity to update the formula and make it even more powerful. Forever is excited to off er the new and improved formula.

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT?

We have added more natural ingredients that support aloe as well as a sunscreen blend containing all-natural zinc oxide for superior sun protection.

IS THE NEW FORMULA BEING RELEASED GLOBALLY?

The new Aloe Sunscreen will launch globally. It will be immediately for sale in the EU and will be sold in other countries as the previous Aloe Sunscreen formula runs out.

IS ALOE SUNSCREEN WATER RESISTANT?

Yes. Aloe Sunscreen is water and sweat resistant for up to 80 minutes.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REAPPLY?

Aloe Sunscreen should be reapplied at least every two hours or every 80 minutes when swimming or sweating. You should reapply to any area of your skin after using a towel.

HOW MUCH SUNSCREEN SHOULD I USE?

You should use at least one ounce of sunscreen to fully cover and protect your skin each time you apply. When in doubt, always apply generously to make sure you are protected from head to toe. For maximum benefi t, apply Aloe Sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure.

WHAT DOES FOREVER DO AT THEIR PLANTATIONS TO BE MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?

By implementing solar powered pumps and new drip watering systems, Forever has been able to successfully reduce water usage by 90% at our plantations. In addition, water used in the aloe leaf cleaning process is reused to water the fields and rinds from hand-filleting are tilled back into the ground to fertilize the soil.

IS ALOE SUNSCREEN REEF SAFE?

Forever Aloe Sunscreen is considered reef safe and ocean safe because it does not contain sunscreen ingredients Oxybenzone or Octinoxate. These ingredients have been banned in Hawaii, the Republic of Palau and Florida because they can cause coral bleaching and coral reef destruction.

IS ALOE SUNSCREEN CERTIFIED AS REEF SAFE?

Scientists have only recently discovered the dangers that ingredients Oxybenzone and Octinoxate pose to coral reefs. So, as of now, there is no standardized method to provide official reef safe certifi cation. It is widely accepted that sunscreens without these ingredients help preserve coral reefs and delicate marine life.

DOES ALOE SUNSCREEN PROTECT AGAINST UVA AND UVB RAYS?

Yes! Aloe Sunscreen off ers broad spectrum SPF 30 protection against UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays make up 95% of the radiation that reaches Earth. These rays penetrate the skin deeply and play a major role in aging and the formation of wrinkles. UVB rays are more damaging to the skin's outer layers and cause reddening and sunburn. The eff ects of these rays are even more harmful when amplifi ed by high altitude, refl ective surfaces, snow and ice, which can double your exposure.

WHAT DOES SPF 30 MEAN?

SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor and is used to indicate how well sunscreen will protect your skin from ultraviolet radiation. A sunscreen with SPF 30 will protect your skin from 97% of UVB rays.

WHY ARE ALOE AND VITAMIN E INCLUDED IN THE FORMULA?

The sun doesn't only burn and damage your skin. Being out in the heat will also strip your skin of moisture. Pure inner leaf aloe vera gel soothes your skin while locking in moisture to keep your skin feeling soft and conditioned. Vitamin E complements aloe vera by helping your skin retain moisture and support restoration from sun damage.

WHAT TYPES OF SUNSCREENS ARE USED IN ALOE SUNSCREEN?

Aloe Sunscreen combines the best of science and nature to provide a formula that is long-lasting, nourishing and water resistant. That's why we use a blend of all-natural, non-nanosized zinc oxide combined with scientifi cally advanced sunscreens to off er ultimate protection. This blend uses 12% natural zinc oxide, 10% octocrylene, 8.5% homosalate and 5% octisalate.

WHAT IS NATURAL NON-NANOSIZED ZINC OXIDE?

Zinc oxide is a sunscreen mineral that creates a barrier between your skin and the sun's harmful rays. Using larger natural non-nanosized zinc oxide means the particles are small enough to provide even coverage, but large enough that the particles will not seep into your skin.

WHY DIDN'T FOREVER USE ALL-NATURAL SUNSCREENS?

To off er the best sun protection possible, we took the best from nature and science to create a sunscreen blend that absorbs easily, goes on clear and protects from UVA and UVB rays. By combining natural ingredients with the latest advancements in skincare technology, we created a formula that provides complete protection, lasts longer and remains water and sweat resistant for 80 minutes.
